What cookies NasGo sets on nasgo.uk, why, and how to control them. Last updated 02/06/2026.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet or mobile) when you visit a website. They make sites work more efficiently and, in some cases, let the site owner understand how the site is being used. nasgo.uk is deliberately cookie-light: only the cookies listed below may be set on your device.

How NasGo uses cookies

Strictly necessary cookies

Essential for the site to work securely. These are set without asking for consent because, under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement.

CookieSet byPurposeDuration
csrf-tokenNasGo (first-party)Protects contact, waitlist and pricing forms from cross-site request forgery.1 hour
__cf_bmCloudflare (third-party)Bot management — distinguishes human visitors from automated traffic.30 minutes
cf_clearanceCloudflare (third-party)Only set if you pass a Cloudflare security challenge.Up to 30 days

Analytics cookies

These cookies do not load until you give consent through the cookie banner. They count visitors anonymously and show how people move around the site, so NasGo can improve it. You can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie banner.

CookieSet byPurposeDuration
_gaGoogle Analytics 4 (third-party)Distinguishes unique visitors. Used to count and report on individual sessions.13 months
_ga_<container>Google Analytics 4 (third-party)Persists session state for the specific GA4 property (the <container>is the property’s Measurement ID).13 months

Note on data retention: although the GA4 cookies above can live on your device for up to 13 months, NasGo has configured Google Analytics 4 to delete the underlying analytics data after 2 months. IP addresses are not stored by GA4. Google Signals (cross-device tracking) is disabled.

Advertising cookies

None. NasGo does not run advertising, retargeting or social-media pixels on nasgo.uk. If that ever changes, this page will be updated and you will be re-asked for consent before any new cookies are set.

Other things stored on your device

In addition to cookies, NasGo stores a few small items in your browser’s local storage. These are not cookies, are never sent to NasGo’s servers, and only live on your device:

  • nasgo_cookie_consent— remembers your choices on the cookie banner.
  • nasgo-acc-settings— remembers accessibility preferences (e.g. reduced motion).
  • nasgo_fixer_highscore— high score for the small game on the 404 page.

Privacy-friendly measurement (no cookies)

NasGo uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count visits and measure page-load performance. These tools are privacy-friendly: they do not set cookies, do not use local storage, do not store any identifier in your browser, and do not share data with advertising networks. Because no personal data is stored on your device, they run on all visits without asking for consent. If you would still rather not be counted in aggregate visitor statistics, most browsers’ “Do Not Track” setting or an extension like uBlock Origin will block them.

Managing your preferences

You can accept or reject analytics cookies from the cookie banner at any visit, or reopen it from the footer. You can also block cookies in your browser settings — but blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site from working.
